The Price of Now

Dollars, buildings, and chips are being announced independently, they do not reconcile, and the market will reconcile them the way markets always do: by picking losers. Intelligence itself splits into two products - yesterday’s, racing toward free, and this instant’s, priced like Sydney Sweeney’s bath water. And through all of it, the thing actually being bought and sold, the thing that was always being bought and sold, is the present tense.

Value Is Not at Settlement

Markets are most interesting before settlement: when liquidity makes belief transferable, information reprices, and non-physical value becomes visible. Settlement is only the final accounting; the value is created in the process between allocation, uncertainty, and repricing.

You Can't Make It Without Betting Anymore

AI is already replacing us

Western labor is undergoing a direct repricing, not a temporary slowdown. If output can be approximated at a fraction of labor cost, repricing is inevitable. The impact appears first in hiring freezes before broad layoffs.
